Reception Teacher - Luton - Maternity Cover - February half-term start - Paid to scale from day 1 - PAYE

Do you have a passion for working within Early Years? Are you looking for a full-time role starting after the February half-term?

Our partner primary school, based in the heart of Luton, are looking to add an enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Specialist to their team. This a maternity cover post so will be temporary until July in the first instance. You will be leading a Reception class of around 18 children. This is a 2 form entry school so you will also benefit from the support of the permanent Reception class teacher and a floating TA who works between the two classes. There are a number of children in the class with additional needs and these are supported by 1-2-1 learning assistants.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the wider Early Years team to create a vibrant and exciting learning environment
• Feedback to outside agencies and SENDCO on any pupils with additional needs
• Build strong relationships with parents and staff
• Feedback and report on childrens progress throughout the year
• Attend parents evenings and staff meetings

• QTS Qualified
• Early Years Specialism
• Able to commute to Luton
• Passionate about improving outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds
• Reliable and flexible
